polar m430 vs garmin 235

CC: Polar

Polar is a Finland based company, they are the first ones who made the world’s first wireless heart rate monitor. The company was founded in 1977 and from that time they are making many electronic devices that help in monitoring the heart rate. They are making many kinds of devices and they have stores in 80+ countries, they are quite famous, and that is why they are making smartwatches and other products for a wide range of their users.

And Polar M430 is one of them, Polar M430 is a successor Polar M400 becomes a famous watch in the European market from 2015-16. Polar included a lot of new things to the Polar M430, to make it a better option for their users. Polar M430 released to the market in June 2017. Polar M430 has lots of features for an average user, and today we are going to see each of its features in our review and Polar M430 vs Garmin 235 comparison.

Design and Body

The design of the Polar M430 is kind of basic, it comes with a silicone cover and strap and the straps are not detachable. But it comes in various colors, you can pick the one you like most. Polar M430 comes with an old type of monochrome display that shows all your data and it doesn’t come with a touch screen feature. The screen is quite bright even in the outdoors or in direct sunlight.

The shape of the Polar M430 is kind of rounded square, which makes it different than the rest of the competition. The weight of the Polar M430is around 51 grams, which is quite light, and it still waterproof, up to 30 meters. As we said it comes in many colors and these colors are Black, Blue, Green, Orange, White.

The other change that the company does in the design or body of the Polar M430 is the addition of a Heart Rate Monitoring sensor, with 6 optical LED lights that make it more accurate than the rest of the competition, but it is still not as accurate as compared to the Chest Wrap Heart Rate Monitoring sensors.

And the addition of these features makes it 12mm of thick, and it is around 10 grams heavier than the Garmin Forerunner 235. The band of the Polar M430 is made up of Silicone that comes with many holes in it which makes it more breathable and makes it a better fit.

But if you have small wrist then I think you are going to face some issues with the length of the strap, as it comes with a very long strap. Polar M430 comes with fiver buttons from which you control the UI and other features, and it comes with five different watch faces, only five!
